About us

Why Patent Cockpit exists

Most IP tools focus on administration, not strategy. We built Patent Cockpit to solve the challenges we faced in our daily work. It helps IP managers work more efficiently and gives leadership clear visibility into their IP portfolio.

The team behind Patent Cockpit

  • Bas Albers

    CEO, Co-Founder

    Bas graduated from TU Delft (NL) in Applied Physics and initially developed 2D and 3D camera-based sensors. During this time, he was introduced to IP management. He later became a full-time IP manager and has since implemented IP strategies for more than 10 companies.

  • Noah Bieler

    CTO, Co-Founder

    Noah holds a PhD in Chemistry and a CAS in Machine Learning from ETH Zurich. He has worked as a data scientist and quant developer for various companies in Zurich, bringing portfolio management tools and digital regulatory services into production.
